What do we do with your information?
We use your data to be able to send you information about the charity including news updates, events and achievements from our work. This is predominantly done by email, or post, depending on your preferences.
When we receive your data, we keep it on a password-protected system. Only S.A.L.V.E team members have access to this information, and only what is relevant for them to do their role.
For example, our Ugandan staff may have a supporter’s name to be able to help their sponsored child to write a letter to them, but they would never need to know details of sponsorship bank payments, or addresses.
Sensitive information that is passed between the UK and Uganda, is done using a password protected shared drive, where only the necessary members of the team have access to it.
Who would we share your information with?
We will only use your information for the purposes it was obtained. We do use third parties to process data and send out information. For example, we use a password-protected service to send out our monthly e-newsletters. However, while using these services, we retain full responsibility for your personal data.
How long do we keep your information?
We will evaluate what data we hold every two years, and destroy it if it is not necessary to keep it. You can make changes to how we contact you at any time by emailing: info@salveinternational.org
