Join Nicola’s Dinothon on 14th September 2024
Be part of a collective goal to raise £10,000 for children on the streets.
What is a Dinothon?
S.A.L.V.E.’s co-founder is hosting a Dinothon on Saturday 14th September 2024. On this date, she will be encouraging friends and family to dress up as dinosaurs and walk or run loops of Chorlton Water park in South Manchester with her.
Nicola is doing this to celebrate her 40th birthday and will be aiming to walk and run a total of 40km while dressed as a dinosaur.
This roar-some event is part of the Step up for S.A.L.V.E. challenge which is encouraging people to do activities in September to help raise a collective total of £10,000 for children living and working on the streets of Jinja.
You can find Nicola’s fundraising page and support her dino-mite efforts, here.
Can I take part? You bet Jurassican!
To take part simply fill in the form below and Nicola will be in touch. The event is open to anyone who wants to take part and you can do whatever distance you like. It is pet and child friendly. Nicola will be walking and running between 7am – 7pm and the route at Chorlton Water park is a 1 mile circuit, so you can easily join her on her dino-themed-loops!
Why should you get involved?
Nicola’s Dinothon is a great example of how fundraising can be fun! We want people to Step Up in September to support street connected children and also to connect with their friends, families and loved ones. A key part of S.A.L.V.E.’s work is resettling children back home and we really value the importance of doing activities with people you care for.
Nicola will be encouraging anyone who takes part to do their own fundraising, or to donate on the day, so that S.A.L.V.E. can continue its vital work helping children on the streets. Raising awareness is a hugely important part of our work and what better way to draw attention than to be dressed as a T-Rex!
Every penny raised will help young people leave the streets and have brighter futures.
Leave your details here and Nicola will be in touch.
