Partnerships, opportunities and collaboration
January can often be a challenging month. The return to work or school after time with friends and family during the festive period is always hard, and the short days here in the UK make the month feel like it has 20 weeks!
In spite of this, we’ve had a fantastic start to 2025 at S.A.L.V.E., with some exciting updates to share with you:
📊 We are delighted to have been selected for partnership by The Fore. Through their funding, we will now be investing in a new monitoring and evaluation system, ensuring that we are having great impact, and that we can demonstrate this impact to supporters like yourself. This funding will allow us to build better relationships with our existing funders and partners, and training and networking opportunities provided by The Fore will help us reach new audiences. We are thrilled to have been selected to work with such an innovative funder over the next two years, and beyond!
⚽ We have also been selected by The FIFA Foundation for funding to deliver a gender equality football programme at our residential site, through our street outreach team and in local communities. This two year programme will help us build strong relationships with children who need our support – particularly girls – as well as develop their key soft-skills (like team work, leadership, decision making). We hope the programme will help young people understand of the importance of protecting the rights of women and girls in Uganda, and around the world.
This year, we will continue to explore exciting opportunities for partnership that allow us to expand our work, reach more children and deliver impactful programmes. We’re looking forward to seeing the success of these new partnerships and can’t wait to keep you updated with our progress!
Can you help us build new partnerships?
Can you help to introduce S.A.L.V.E. in your workplace?
We are always interested to hear from individuals who are looking to get their business or colleagues involved in supporting S.A.L.V.E.
🏆 Could you nominate us as your Charity of the Year?
🍰 Would your colleagues help you with an office fundraiser?
✅ Does your company match employee donations?
There are lots of ways that businesses can support us, but we often need an introduction to make it happen! If you think that you can help, please reach out to amy@salveinternational.org. We’ll be very glad to hear from you!
Up for a challenge?
We know that the new year often starts with resolutions, many of which involve getting fit or staying active. If you’re looking for a way to motivate yourself to stick to your resolution, perhaps you could also fundraise for S.A.L.V.E. and see double the positive outcomes?
You could:
🏃 Run a marathon
🚴♀️ Complete a triathlon
🏊 Do an open water swim
🦖 Or dress up as a dinosaur and run 40km! 🤣
There’s lots more ideas on our website, with something for everyone, particularly if the thought of running a marathon makes you feel slightly sick! We’re here to support you along your fundraising journey, so please get in touch (amy@salveinternational.org) if you’re thinking about undertaking a challenge in 2025! I am currently thinking about whether I can beat my time for completing 125km….!
